Festival of Public Health
17 June - 3 July 2024
The University of Exeter Medical School are hosting a festival of Public Health, running from 17 June to 3 July.
This will be a collection of activities, events and opportunities to explore what Public Health is, why it is relevant and how you can make an impact.
The festival will bring together Public Health colleagues from across multiple departments and promises to be an engaging showcase of Public Health research and discussion opportunities. Please come and join us.

Organised by the University of Exeter to celebrate Clean Air Day 2024 we have curated a walk that will enable us to collectively measure and examine variabilities in air quality and how these relate to health and well being. |

External Speaker - Professor Maggie Rae CBE Professor Maggie Rae CBE is NHS England South West’s Deputy Director of Regional Health Programmes and also the Head of School for Public Health Specialist Training. She was president of the Faculty of Public Health during the Covid-19 pandemic and is the current president of the Royal Society of Medicine Epidemiology and Public Health section. A cream tea including a vegan option will be provided from 4pm. |

Public Health and Sport Sciences Postgraduate Researchers Conference We anticipate a packed programme with different presentation options for PGRs at different stages of their studies, contributions from research leads, good food and social activities. We will provide coach travel to the Penryn Campus, with overnight accommodation for the evening before also available (places limited, so register now to avoid disappointment!). A great opportunity for PGRs to showcase their work in a friendly and supportive environment, to develop their networks, and learn about new research areas, techniques and skills. |
